This Dev/Ops position is responsible for managing the game application build process, including code and asset preparation, project compilation, build packaging and distribution, and data capture from active builds.  This role requires extensive coordination with all project developers, producers and testers, as well as some external coordination with the publisher and related clients.

This role utilizes a wide variety of technical and organizational skills.

  • Expertise with Perforce, including scripting, continuous integration and admin management
  • Experience with Python scripting (used by our code & asset build systems)
  • Experience with Steam, PS4 and XBoxOne build packaging and distribution practices and requirements
  • Familiarity with code and asset build pipelines for modern AAA game projects
  • Very strong communication and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with auto-testing and auto-build practices, especially using Jenkins
  • Familiarity with Angular and AppEngine/Google Cloud environment (used by our game data capture services)
 

The build team manages an auto-build and auto-testing process for producing daily builds used in development.  Additionally, this role is responsible for preparing all externally released builds, up to and including the Gold Master.  The Dev/Ops engineer must ensure that all code and assets intended for inclusion in a specific build are properly integrated and tested, and often directly performs code and asset integrations.  This role is also responsible for setting up the console disk configurations and images, as well as managing the Steam hosting of our project’s content.
