At the very end of the Swedish summer, there was an event arranged by Racing Rascals. Much like events hosted by the US based Make-A-Wish Foundation, this one offers an invaluable break in a sick child's life. The goal is to provide something exciting for kids to look forward to, enjoy and remember as they go through tough times.
One of the developers on the Mad Max team is a car fanatic and happens to own a really nice ride (a Dodge Viper SRT-10). So we decided to plaster the Avalanche Studios logo on his car and drive a few of the kids around a race track for a day. There were big smiles all around, and the Avalanche Studios branded car was voted "best sounding car" by the kids, awarding us a nice cup that we'll proudly place next to our game related plaques.
