What DEI means to us

In 2019, we made "Become leaders within sustainability and inclusivity" one of Avalanche's key objectives. As an important step on this journey, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is given more focus as an integrated part of our business, allowing for a continuous product and culture evolution. We believe that it is important to define DEI, to ensure that all Avalanchers are aligned in what we mean, and what our common actions aspire to:

Diversity: We embrace a broad range of experiences and perspectives as the foundation of our creativity and culture.

Equity: We acknowledge our seen and unseen differences and create equitable opportunities for all Avalanchers.

Inclusion: We amplify our strengths by ensuring that all Avalanchers' contributions are heard and valued.

Our journey

At Avalanche Studios Group, we have the ambitious objective of becoming leaders in sustainability and inclusivity within our industry. We knew from the beginning that this commitment meant embarking on a long journey of learning and discovery – and it is.

Along the way, we have taken significant steps forward. We have conducted an extensive audit of our compensation and benefits, implemented new and more inclusive hiring practices, and piloted more inclusive design processes. We’ve also partnered with external companies and organizations to increase awareness around accessibility and representation within our company and our games.

There have been times when we’ve had more to learn than we realized, and reflecting on where we’ve been is an important part of our journey forward. 

We’re sorry we haven’t gotten things right every time. 

During those times, the tireless work of Avalanchers who dedicate their attention and effort to improving the company has been invaluable. 

The progress we can celebrate today is thanks to the compassion and convictions of our employees. To all Avalanchers who have spoken up throughout the years, engaged in our DEI efforts, and helped us throughout this journey, we want to say this:
