Last year, we announced our intention to enter a collective bargaining agreement (CBA). We have now signed with the employers’ organization Almega, and Swedish labor unions Unionen and Engineers of Sweden. The CBA will cover all Avalanchers employed in Sweden.
As a Swedish-founded company, Avalanche’s values naturally align with the Nordic model, where CBAs have a proven track record of building positive employer-employee relationships. Our CBA will help standardize frameworks across foundational areas like salaries, benefits, employee influence, and career support.
“During the last few years, we've made great strides in building Avalanche into one of the best workplaces in the games industry,” comments Chief HR Officer, Signe Svensson. “Our welcoming atmosphere, solid work-life balance, professional development opportunities – to mention a few – demonstrate our commitment. We anticipate that signing a CBA will be another positive step forward, and I look forward to a continued successful collaboration with the unions and Avalanche’s union club. We’re all eager for the next chapter in our 22-year-long journey of creating world-class gaming experiences.”
