New space in New York!

2022-06-23

We’re excited to announce that our New York team has moved into a brand new space right in the heart of Manhattan! The office is located in a newly constructed building in the NoMad district, one of the city’s most vibrant and dynamic neighborhoods.

“Our SoHo office has served us very well for the past 11 years,” says Pim Holfve, CEO of Avalanche Studios Group. “During this time we were able to accomplish amazing things. But we’ve also evolved. Every inch of this brand new space – from the bold colors to the industrial elements and the organic open feel – is infused with Avalanche personality, and I am sure it will be an inspiring environment for our team. And guess what? We are sharing the building with incredibly creative companies like A24! We have a shot at establishing a new creative hub in New York.”

Over a decade has passed since we went off the beaten path and opened a location in New York City, our first outside of Sweden. It was a bold move, but it proved to be a fortunate one. Since then, we have been able to tap into the enormous pool of talent in this great melting pot.

“Here you have a unique convergence of massively talented people from all over the world, with different cultures, backgrounds, and experiences,” says Pim. “This diversity is a perfect reflection of Avalanche Studios Group’s own identity, one of our biggest strengths. It’s our special sauce if you will.”

Stepping into a new creative space while maintaining our established presence in New York gives us even more opportunities to build on Avalanche Studios Group’s legacy and expand our rich portfolio of innovative open-world games. The New York team had a fundamental role in the production of two massive AAA games (Just Cause 3 and 4) and now is hard at work on our biggest project yet: Contraband, the upcoming co-op smuggler's paradise developed in partnership with Xbox Game Studios. We can’t wait to show you all the incredible things we have brewing in this awesome, brand new environment!
